Locker, Wellness Center, and Parking Pass Agreement

This Locker and Wellness Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the American Indian Law Center, Inc. (“AILC”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”) for the purpose of ensuring compliance regarding the use of both the Lockers and Wellness Center (“Facilities”) provided by the University of New Mexico School of Law (“UNM SOL”).

  1. Participants will have access to lockers, parking, and the wellness center at the UNM SOL.
  2. This Agreement acknowledges the conditions for the use of these Facilities.

Lobo ID. LoboID cards will be issued on June 2, but will not work for the locker room or wellness center until June 4 or June 5.  PLSI has no control over the timing.

Locker Use & Maintenance. The University of New Mexico provides lockers for the use of Participants during the program. The locker room is across the hall from the admin suite at the main entrance to the law school. In consenting to the use of the lockers, Participants also recognize their duty to maintain them. This means that Participant must responsibly use the lockers in a way that does not damage them. These lockers are provided for free for Participants. The lockers for UNM students are normally at least $70 per year to rent. As such, please be courteous and respectful of the facilities that UNM provides. Please clean out your lockers by July 23. There should be nothing left in the lockers by this time.

Wellness Center Use & Maintenance. The UNM SOL also provides access to the wellness center for Participants. It is located on the lower level of the law school. The door for the wellness center is located directly across from a water fountain and another set of stairs leading to the forum. Participants shall be respectful when using the wellness center. It is provided free of charge and only during law school hours.  When the law school is closed, the wellness center is closed.

Parking Pass. PLSI will provide participants with a parking pass. This pass will allow participants to park their vehicles in the UNMSOL and their residence hall. If the participant fails to adequately display their parking pass, they will be responsible for any consequences.  The AILC is not responsible for any fines, costs, potential towing, or any damage assessed to the participant or their vehicle. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to resolve any sanctions, fines, or towing. If a participant loses their parking pass, they have the sole responsibility for replacing it. Additionally, participants should be reminded to keep their valuables out of their vehicle or store those items safely. The AILC is not responsible for replacing any items that are lost or stolen, including any work materials (books or electronics).

Responsibility for Damages/Losses. Participants are responsible for any damages or losses they cause to the Facilities, resulting from their actions. Such damages or losses may be assessed at the conclusion of the PLSI. If any such damages or losses occur, the AILC may withhold any reimbursements owed to the Participant until all charges have been paid by the Participant.

Please be respectful of the Facilities that UNM and PLSI provide. This ensures that the program will continue to have a strong name and can rely on UNM as a partner.
